Subscription models are simply terrible for DAWs, Plugins, VSTs. Why people don't just get onboard with the subscription? Then I'm thinking of Studio 1 in the future. I'm only waiting them to get all the bugs out for the new Mac conversions before I stop renewing. If you are new to DAWs then I don't recommend Pro Tools. I don't believe in subscription for a platform that is supposed to be the foundation of the work flow. Click, they turn your shit off like a light switch. However if you don't pay your annual or monthly payment on time or by the grace period allotted. (Plugin Bundles, 3rd party software, etc).

Included will be everything Pro Tools has to offer for standard or HD version. With the subscription, it's 200 per year. Here is the cool part, if you decide not to renew you can "still" use the software to do what you love.

If you let it expire it will cost more to re-instate ($350 I think). Once the plan expires you have a 30 day grace period to renew the Perpetual License Update/Support plan ($200). If you have a Perpetual License you get 1 year of updates and supports upon purchase (As previously stated in this thread).
